in stockholm

A week ago I went to Stockholm and later that day I took a train to Örebro. I'll tell about that a bit later.

I knew that this was not the best time of the year, but I was still hoping to take some good photos of Stock. I really wanted practice taking pics of arcitecture, buildings and city. I have not done that much. Well I must say, I gave it a go just for 3 hours. But it was fun. So here are some of them - enjoy!

Isn't that picturesque. :)

Somewhere close to this place, I stepped into to a Catholic Church. Though I feel myself more at home in Baptist Church and thinking, I still love Catholic Cathedrals and Churches. All the richness of ways to tell the story of the creation of the world, the meaning of ourselves, our beginning and the future. I do not have a photo of that Catholic Church I went to, because just after entering the Church I saw a sign: "Wedding ceremony in process." That was exciting. I stopped at the hall and witnessed quietly the moments when to people in their 40's I would guess, were exchanging their rings and the first kiss as a husband and wife. The Cathedral was empty, except the priest, me, the organist and twho other church members. It crossed my mind that it would be cool to take a photo of them, because there seemed to be noone to do that, but then I thought, probably they really wanted to get married without any huss and other people, so I thought it better to respect it. But still, it made my day special, too!

After that I fullfilled the duties of a tourist - wemt to see the royal palace, walked on the streets of Gamla Stan, even bought 3 postcards.
And then, after 2 hours of very smooth train-ride, I arrived at Örebro. I was excited to meet Joshua, but for my bigger suprise - I saw Toivo Pilli, and you know guys, this is not the first time for me to meet a friend in an unexpected place and time, like this. (I met Markus in HK this June, hmm it seems longer since I came back to Estonia). Well, apparently Toivo had come to Örebro to give some lectures in a Theological Seminary and had come to pick up Timo Lige from the same train, what I had took. :) We know that Estonia is small - but this proves to me again - friends, world seems to be smaller than it is. :)

some of you know that one of my dream is to capture the beauty of women on the photos, I do hope that some time in the future I will be able to take some courses in photography to be able to capture the beauty in every woman, especially older women. Till then, I found those beauties. I just love their very feminine curves. :) gorgeous, aren't they?!

I had borrowed Mati's camera and this was one of the first photos, and I hadn't figured out the settings for the cloudy day yet, so it turned out in interesting colors, and Joshua found on that picture a face, in that tree. So try to find it, too. :) I did. It's such a bonus, when these things like this come up just like that. :) Like a cherry on an ice cream. :)

Wanna a cup of hot glögg?!
